Kemahka — a black-phase NorthAid male who joined the WEP family in the spring of 2015 and passed in October 2025 — embodied a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew him. He reminded us that even the most reserved spirits can leave an extraordinary mark. His gentle presence brought peace to the enclosure and calm to all who shared his space.
Though he no longer walks beside us, his legacy runs deep—woven into the heart of our mission and carried forward in the stories we tell, the art he inspired in Greg, and the love he gave so freely.
Rest easy, dear Maka. You will forever be a part of this place—and a part of us.
